Situated on Route 199, just a mile or so west of the Taconic State Parkway, Another Fork in the Road is proving location be damned, success is made by the person behind the effort.And that person is Natalie Figgy DiBenedetto, owner and chef of Milans new finer diner.I met with Figgy early on a rainy Thursday morning. As we chatted, people started streaming through the door in a steady flow. Less than an hour later, as we were saying our good-byes, the place was already half full and two more cars were pulling in. I was told that on weekdays theyre usually full-up for breakfast by 10 am; and then the next crowd starts arriving at around noon for lunch.
The morning I was there, the special sweet crepe of the day was made with mascarpone cheese and fresh black raspberries.The standing menu aint shabby either—house-cured corned beef hash with two eggs and toast; Granola Parfait, Slow Roasted Turkey, Bacon and Mushroom Sandwich, to name only a few items.
